🇬🇧 | A GALLANT CLOUD 🇨🇿 | GALANTNÍ MRAK ☁️☀️☁️ . 🇬🇧 | Among Czech landscape photographers, the term, that can be translated as a "fucker cloud", introduced by photographer Ladislav Kamarád, is quite widespread. It's a cloud that, just at the moment when you hope for a good light, comes and blocks out the sun, thus ruining everything. It recently occurred to me that it should have a positive equivalent. A gentleman cloud? A gallant cloud? Yeah, that'll be it - a gallant cloud that at the perfect moment creates a hole (opens the door) that allows the sunrays to enter and penetrate, lighting the scene perfectly. I know I've encountered it a few times and decided to search my photos for its footprints. And I have found them. So I'm sharing with you a few photos I have where I have captured the gallant cloud. 🇬🇧 | My photos got awarded in Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA) competition 🇨🇿 | Mé fotografie byly oceněny v soutěži Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA) 📸🏆 . 🇬🇧 | I'm happy that two of my photos got noticed and appreciated by the jury of @Fine Art Photography Awards competition. One ended up 🥉3rd in Seascapes category and the other one was within narrow selection of 🏅nominated photos in Landscape category. To be honest, I've never really pushed myself to competitions and art competitions are in principle always kind of a weird thing, but I'm pleased to see my photos, which I'm pretty much emotionally involved in, got the attention and even appreciation I believe they deserve (with only my partial personal contribution beside the nature within their making), especially when almost no one sees them here due to the dodgy algorithm. So let me please share my joy with you and recall the photos, which both come from my beloved Iceland❤️. . 🇨🇿 | Jsem potěšen, že dvě mé fotografie byly oceněny porotou mezinárodní soutěže Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA). Jedna se umístila na 🥉3. místě v kategorii "Seascape" (mořská krajina?) a druhá byla v úzkém výběru 🏅nominovaných fotek v kategorii "Landscape" (krajina). – ABOUT ME –
I pursue the beauty of space through photography. Beauty and aesthetics are elements that intertwine with both of my focus – landscape photography and interiors and architecture photography.
I have a deep relationship with nature and landscape and I’m far from just photographing them. Just being there is uplifting for me and I find in it not only the beauty, but also a certain meditative dimension, calmness and connection. Similarly, I appreciate design and architecture, which also works with space, and the emphasis on beauty and aesthetics is its crucial part. In both cases, I focus on capturing all the important elements in the best possible way and emphasizing and multiplying in the photographs what nature or human hands has created.
Between 2015 and 2020, I worked as an Olympus (currently OM System) product specialist, whose cameras I use and with whom I continue to work as a lecturer and OM System Ambassador.
