Newsletter

With this blog I would like to bring to your attention my newsletter, which I have been sending regularly ( as much as possible) in Czech language for more than a year to all those who have subscribed to it.

I know that we all get a lot of emails and most of them are rather annoying, but I decided to start using this form of communication from time to time, as I find it somehow more personal than social networks. Not all of you are also on Facebook or Instagram (which I don’t find surprising at all – for me it’s more of a necessary evil to be present there) and even if you are there, in the clutter of all sorts of posts, stories and ads it’s easy for something really meaningful (like a nice landscape photo:-)) to get lost, not mentioning strange algorithms which cause you wouldn’t even see my photos and posts when you follow me. So much for what got me into sending newsletters in the first place.

To give you an idea of how my newsletters look like, I’m pasting the first English one into this post intentionally (you can see it in a readable size after clicking on the image:-)

My intention is to make my newsletter not just another annoying email, but instead an opportunity to take a pause in a busy day. That’s why I start with the most recent photos I’ve released that you may have missed. An added bonus for newsletter subscribers is my description of the photos – sometimes I’ll only comment on them briefly, but often I tend to elaborate and reveal how the photo was taken – when, where and under what conditions, what technique I used or what I struggled with when processing the photo in the editor. I don’t usually publish these descriptions anywhere else.

Since I plan to introduce an offer of group workshops in English for international clients, you can expect the next part of the newsletter to be dedicated to them in the (hopefully near) future. So far I just mention the possibility to attend a private workshop with me.

Next section is the “Tip of the Newsletter”, where I want to give you a little something this way – usually just small tips on what to look for when shooting, what subject is best to capture in the current season, tips on camera settings, etc. Sometimes it may be something new to you, sometimes it may be just a small reminder of what you may have heard before.

My newsletter subscribers are supposed to be a bit of an exclusive group that always gets something extra from me (descriptions of current photos; newsletter tips; discounts), so I dare say it really makes sense to subscribe.

Since I don’t like to be “bombarded” with something all the time and I’m also a bit lazy and sometimes quite busy, you don’t have to worry that my newsletters would fill up your inbox – I send them typically once every 1-2 months:-).
